The China Silk Fair concluded in Hong Kong in 2019 with an export intention of $350 million.


The China Silk Fair 2019 (Hong Kong), co-sponsored by China Textile Import and Export Chamber and China Silk Group Co., Ltd., recently ended in Hong Kong. The silk trade reached by the participating Chinese and foreign enterprises accounted for more than 80% of the global trade, while the silk and satin trade accounted for more than 20% of the global trade.

The silk trade reached by the participating Chinese and foreign enterprises accounted for more than 80% of the global trade, while the silk and satin trade accounted for more than 20% of the global trade.
 
Several major silk industry enterprises in the world participated in the fair. According to reports, during the three-day meeting period from 21 to 23, more than 95 enterprises and businessmen from 10 major silk trading countries and regions held talks, including Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, India, Thailand and Brazil, with a total export intention of $350 million.
 
During the fair, the first "China International High-end Forum on Silk Development" was held. More than 100 entrepreneurs from home and abroad had in-depth exchanges on the topics of international silk trade situation, healthy development of the industry and market changes, and discussed the issues of promoting Silk Road cultural exchanges and promoting Chinese silk culture.
 
Wang Bo, general manager of China Sino-Silk Group Limited, said: "On the basis of consolidating, adjusting and upgrading traditional business such as silk trade, China Sino-Silk Group will formulate and implement a new transformation and development strategy, accelerate its progress towards industrialization, and strive to make greater contributions to the inheritance of silk culture, the revitalization of the silk industry, the practice of the spirit of the Silk Road and the promotion of the Chinese quintessence."
